Famous actor Tamayo Perry, who played in "Pirates of the Caribbean", died at the age of 49 after being attacked by a shark. Perry, who worked as a coast guard in Honolulu, suffered a fatal attack while surfing.
In a press conference, Shayne Enright, a spokesman for the emergency services department, confirmed that the attack happened around 1:00 p.m. local time.
"As you can imagine, it's an extremely difficult time for everyone in. I ask for your courtesy and patience as we try to overcome the events in the coming days, weeks and months," he said, adding that the victim was pulled from the ocean on a jet ski.
Perry has starred in several films, such as "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" (2011). He was also an actor in the movie "Blue Crush" in 2002.
