To reduce stress and feel completely relaxed, you need at least eight days of vacation. Studies have come to this conclusion, but with one condition: they must be truly restorative days.
So, no going through social networks, staying on electronic devices, because that inner peace to be achieved requires a lot of desire and total detachment from work, troubles, everyday life, etc.
The post-pandemic period has made people more dedicated to work and to no longer distinguish between private and professional life. Because the loss of the job, the uncertainty, the large expenses in the health part, all are factors that influence the strengthening of the desire to work and to provide some additional income to cope with living.
However, to feel good, you need to set boundaries. One way to do this is to feel fully involved in what you do. This requires you to "immerse yourself" in a good moment such as reading a book, a sports activity, listening to good music, etc.
There are several ways to achieve inner peace and complete relaxation during vacations:
- Stay in good company
If you need to stay connected to work even when you're on vacation, set a time for work and another for yourself. For the rest of the time, disconnect apps and devices from programs and devote yourself and others. In particular, the company of other people will make you relax your mind with everything that has nothing to do with work. Conversations, discussions, laughter will increase your concentration during the vacation days.
- Nature calms the mind
Imagine yourself in a forest, or on a beach swimming. Nature helps to remove boring thoughts, brings a calm mood and above all takes the mind to vacation.
So, are you ready to recharge yourself and de-stress?
