Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift broke up more than a year ago, but the actor has spoken for the first time in an interview with The Sunday Times, where he said that their six-year relationship has been a long relationship, filled with love and devotion.
He answered the question that he has listened to his ex-girlfriend's new album, "The Tortured Poets Department", which people think has songs dedicated to the actor, and Alwyn said:
"Thinking about what I want to say, I hope everyone can empathize. This is not a direct answer to your question, but just thinking about the album I can talk about. I hope that anyone and everyone will empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving and committed relationship of more than 6 and a half years."
He further admitted that this is a difficult period to go through.
In April 2023, it was reported that Joe and Tay had split. ET reported that they parted amicably, drama-free. Their relationship has been very private and very little is known about it. They met at the Met Gala in 2016 and in 2017, their relationship went public.
Today, Tay is linked to football player Travis Kelce.
