7 countries in Europe where tourists get sick more often for these reasons

For many of us, the idea of ??an adventure in Europe, in a new city unexplored before or where you just go, makes everything very enthusiastic and eagerly awaited. The beach, visiting museums, trying new foods at restaurants you haven't set foot in before, there are so many things to do on a trip to different countries around the world.

But it seems that along with adrenaline comes the risk of poisoning or illness from food sold on the street, the conditions of cleanliness and food safety that are often not known in the restaurants or bars where you sit down to eat or have a drink. There are so many factors that make some of these cities the most dangerous in Europe to get sick, if you go as the next visitor there.

Forbes has put together a disease index to help travelers plan their next trip. For more physical well-being, if of course you do not want to end up in the hospitals of the country you have chosen to rest. Here are the destinations where you should be more than careful:

#1 London, United Kingdom

For some, London remains a modern city with consistent health standards and plenty of options to suit every budget and entertainment style. But this country topped the list of disease reports according to Forbes, with an index estimated at 21.7. All kinds of tastes come together in restaurants from the cheapest to the most luxurious ones in London, but the chances of illness come from the fact that almost 30 million people visit this place every year, so because of this influx, the chances of getting sick between the crowds of tourists on the streets of the British capital are very high.

#2 Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

This destination is rated 21.5 on the disease risk index according to Forbes and this is due to the fact that this beach is the only one where questionable water circulates through sewage and white water pipes that discharge into the sea. This is one of the main reasons why tourists end up in the hospital, if they have weak immunity or bathe in the sea.

#3 Paris, France

With a disease index score of 19.4, the report says tourists visiting Paris are more likely to suffer from gastrointestinal illness. This place of culture filled with cafes and restaurants by the sea is generally impressive to the taste buds of visitors, but the river Seine is often considered dangerous due to the influx of visitors, food poisoning and more.

#4 Tenerife, Spain

This Spanish island ranks fourth on the list with an index for disease the same as Paris, i.e. 19.4. It seems that the weather itself in the islands of Tenerife is an opportunity for the rapid spread of viruses circulating in the air, while the scorching sun and high temperatures have an impact on this situation.

#5 Rome, Italy

With an index of 12.1 of the chances of disease, Rome remains one of the favorite destinations for tourists. But gastronomy often poses a threat since the combination of meat and fish products make the "taste adventure" more dangerous, leaving room for poisoning or diarrhea.

#6 Zakynthos, Greece

Zakynthos is one of the largest islands in the Ionian Sea, located west of the Greek mainland and south of Kefalonia. But, because of the great heat, food and drinks often become the cause of poisoning. The disease index score from Forbes is 11.3, as potentially eating out, the Mediterranean diet, cheese or all other products that are consumed outdoors can be more of a reason for illness during vacations.

#7 Mykonos, Greece

Even the holiday island in Greece is part of this list, for the possibility of some bug in the stomach why not. With an index of 11.2, the chances of illness during the holidays are very high, especially for young people who party until the early hours of the morning, do not sleep and invest in a weaker immunity that is "bombarded" with drinks, alcohol, etc. .
