David Copperfield, one of the most prominent illusionists in the US, has been accused by 16 women of sexual misconduct, according to Guardian US investigations. Most of the women said that at that time they were underage. Some of them claimed to be 15 years old, although many people may not know their age. Evidence also includes 3 women who said David drugged them before having sex with them.

All cases are believed to have occurred between the 1980s and 2014. The women who accused Copperfield were familiar with the magician through his work, as David is among the most famous magicians in the world. Some of the women told The Guardian that they were inspired by the #MeToo movement to speak out on such an issue.
Copperfield has denied the allegations. His lawyers told The Guardian: "He has never acted inappropriately with anyone, especially underage girls." They stated that the nature of the illusionist is polite, shy and that he treats men and women with respect. "David is a champion of the #MeToo movement, which has encouraged women to come forward with their stories of sexual harassment and violence." Also, the lawyers argued that even before there were such accusations against the illusionist, which were false.

One of the women who accuses the illusionist told The Guardian that she was drugged, along with a friend, and that David had sex with each of them. "I don't know exactly, but in the name of God, I think I was on drugs at the time," said the woman, who had met David in 1993, after one of his shows.
In another case, there was a woman who testified that Copperfield would group various women during his live performances and touch their breasts. Three of the women were teenagers at the time. Fallon Thorton, now 38, said Copperfield "squeezed" her breasts after inviting her on stage at a performance in January 2014. She reported the incident to the Las Vegas police department and the hotel where the incident took place. , but no one took it seriously.

Another woman, Carla, said that after meeting Copperfield at one of his shows in 1992, when she was 15, he began calling her late at night and sending her gifts and free tickets to his shows. After he turned 18, they had consensual sex.

We recall that Copperfield was a name mentioned in the list of VIPs who had visited Jeffrey Epstein's infamous island, in which various acts were performed with minor girls.
For all the mentioned testimonies and for others, the illusionist's lawyers have denied the charges, in defense of the 67-year-old client.
