In the middle of the battle with breast cancer, which the famous actress spoke openly about through a post on Instagram, it seems that Olivia Munn has undergone another operation these days. In an interview for "Vogue", the actress said that she recently had a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus and possibly the cervix).
"I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries," she said during the interview, noting that the surgery was performed last month. "It was a decision that had to be made because a drug I was taking to treat breast cancer was causing me problems and general physical exhaustion, so I had a hysterectomy," added Munn.
According to the actress, but also according to the doctors, the hysterectomy will improve the quality of her life, but at the same time it will deprive her of the idea of ??having another child in the future.
Olivia and comedian John Mulaney became parents of a son three years ago. "John and I talked about it a lot and we don't think we're done with the expanding part of our family," she said.
Munn, who has frozen her eggs twice over the years, added that she did the procedure again before having the hysterectomy, with the hope that the actress could become a mother again in the future through surrogacy.
As for her other battle with breast cancer, Olivia recently revealed in an Instagram post that she had a double mastectomy (surgical removal of both breasts). "I kept the diagnosis private, the anxiety, the drug therapy and the recovery. I needed to catch my breath and get through one of the hardest parts of my life."
