The Eurovision song festival is one of the most important musical events in Europe and is followed with interest from all over the world. It is organized and run by the European Broadcasting Union and features musical performances from Europe and beyond.
Each participant in Eurovision has until the middle of March to select the song with which they will be represented (preliminarily, the song is selected in a festival that is organized in the country, such as Sanremo in Italy, the Song Festival in Albania, etc.). Historically, Eurovision is held in May and is divided into 3 nights: the first semi-final; The second semi-final and the Final.
In this competition, 5 countries go directly to the finals, which, due to their financial contribution, are named as "Big Five". These countries are: France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. They are also joined by the country that won the competition a year ago, in this case, Sweden.
Rules followed by artists:
- The song must be original and must not last more than 3 minutes
- The performance must be live
- No more than 6 performers can go on stage
