Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton have stunned the world since they made their relationship public a few years ago. Now, they have 13 marriages and are among the most popular couples of the royal palace. They met at the university "St. Andrews", where William studied geography, while Kate studied art history.
"I knew there was something very special about her and I wanted to have the opportunity to explore, but we were friends for a while. Today I honestly believe that the fact that we were friends with each other was a very big advantage", said William in his interview during the engagement, in 2010.
2001: They meet at university
The couple met at the university "St. Andrews” and began to develop a friendship. At the time, it was claimed that Kate chose this particular university to be close to the future king. 2002: They start living together on campus

June 23, 2005: They graduated
The couple completed their educational journey, joining the 260 students who attended the graduation ceremony. The late Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Charles and Camilla also attended the ceremony.
April 1, 2007: They break up
During William's interview on the occasion of their engagement, the prince said that at one point, they grew apart. "We were both very young, I was in university and we were both building different characters. It was a way for us to find our way and grow."
Kate added that at the time she was not very happy, but this separation made her stronger. "You understand things about yourself that you didn't know before."
