TikTok is planning to launch a new photo-posting app that has features and options similar to Instagram. The application will be called "TikTok Notes", reports TechCrunch* and will be launched soon.

The new app will connect to TikTok and its users will be able to post to TikTok Notes from their TikTok account. Also, they can open the account, but they can not publish photos on "TikTok Notes".
TikTok confirmed that it is working on a new app, but clarified that it is still early days and that the app is not available.
"As part of our ongoing commitment to bring innovation to the Tiktok experience, we are exploring ways to empower our community and encourage them to create and share their creativity through photography and text in a space dedicated to them ”, said a Tiktok spokesperson.
While according to TechCrunch, TikTok is also experimenting with other formats such as videos that can have a duration of up to 30 minutes, as well as posts as text, similar to X and Threads.
