Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have responded via Us Weekly after the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton announced on March 22 that she has been diagnosed with cancer.
"We wish health and recovery to Kate and the family. We hope they can do this privately and peacefully," they said, referring to online theories circulating about Kate's "disappearance."
In a video message to the public, Kate, sitting on a bench in the royal palace, announced that her health team found the presence of cancer after her successful operation in the abdominal area. Doctors advised her to start preventive chemotherapy treatment. Kate, 42 and mother of three young children, described the diagnosis as a "huge shock" and asked for privacy and space as she and her family overcome this challenge together.
As for Meghan and Harry, since leaving the kingdom in 2021, things between them and Prince William and Kate Middleton have not been so good. Harry then published Spare, a memoir, which further damaged their relationship.
