This is the moment to reframe your concept of divorce, at least according to Drew Berrymore. Through a talk show, yesterday the famous actress spoke openly about her three divorces, saying that she is no longer ashamed of the separation and that she does not intend to waste a single minute of her precious time with people who make her feel no good.
Remember that Drew has been married three times: to Jeremy Thomas from 1994 to 1995, then to Tom Green, whose marriage lasted from 2001 to 2002, and to Will Kopelman from 2012 to 2016. Barrymore and Kopelman also have two daughters, Olive and Frankie.
"I was so ashamed of the divorces and for so many reasons in my head I said, 'I'm not ready to feel this way anymore,'" Barrymore explained during a moment on "The Drew Barrymore Show."
She added that the new mindset allowed her to feel "liberated" and focus on the quality of her life, something everyone experiences.
"When you're really in a situation that's not working the way you should, you have to give up and look at yourself, improve your life and move on. I no longer see divorce as a shame, as I feel completely liberated, " added the actress.
The topic of divorce was brought up while Barrymore was discussing Jennifer Lopez's music video for "Can't get enough," which shows the singer as a bride going through multiple weddings. Like Barrymore, Lopez has made headlines for her divorces from partners Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony.

"Jennifer I love you! I really appreciate the fact that you bring so much strength to women who are still ashamed of separation," Barrymore said. "We've all gone through these stages in life, so it's quite normal for you to go through it too," concluded the actress.
