The flight attendants, it seems, are not only on the plane to give instructions and good news to the passengers, but also to give warnings. In addition to suggestions not to sit by the window or in the middle of the plane where passengers pass their needs and the flight crew, there is one place you should not touch due to the high presence of germs and dirt.
Can you guess what it is?
This seat is the pocket you see in the back of seats on airlines. If you've been thinking about flipping through the magazines or leaflets that are usually found in them, don't do it. Otherwise, be prepared to carry a bag with all your essentials needed to clean the place and minimize contact with this part of the plane as much as possible.
Flight attendants say never use this seat pocket to touch it or put things in it. Although it is cleaned by maintenance and cleaning staff, all kinds of things can be found there, from chewing gum, to fruit pits, half-eaten sweets, etc.
For your own safety, you might consider leaving your phone, laptop, or iPad there, but chances are you'll forget it, too.
So, even with all this mess of germs and dirt, you'd better not touch this airplane seat pocket.
