Alexei Navalny's ally is attacked near his home
Leonid Volkov, known as an ally of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, was attacked with a hammer near his home in Vilnius, Lithuania.
According to Navalny's spokeswoman, Kira Yarmish, the incident happened like this: Someone broke the car window, threw tear gas into his eyes and started attacking him with a hammer. Meanwhile, the police in Lithuania have also confirmed that a man was beaten near his home and that they are investigating the matter.
A Russian plane crashes with 15 people on board
An II-76 military plane has crashed in Ivanovo, Russia, the country's defense ministry confirmed. The plane had 15 people on board.
