The shocking event that the ex-father-in-law raped Prince Leka when he went to meet his 3-year-old daughter, Geraldine, caused a stir in public opinion. According to Klan Nea, the journalist Besar Bajraktaraj has secured the testimony of Gjergj Zaharija, Elias' father, who said that the former son-in-law raped him.
He said that the prince hit him first, even though he is old.
"It was Leka who attacked me and hit me first. I am in self-defense", he said.
Elia also filed a report at the police station, stating that he became violent, grabbed her by the hands, pushed her and tried to hit her.
"He came aggressively and became violent. He grabbed me by the hands, pushed me and tried to hit me. We are self-defense," she said.
Meanwhile, reports of violence have come from both sides. Prince Leka has also given his testimony , where he states that the incident took place on "Murat Toptani" street, at the residence of the royal family, where he came to meet Geraldine, the 3-year-old girl. "Initially, I met with the head of the yard's administration, whom I asked about a closet that was emptied in violation of the agreement. Afterwards, I asked him to accompany me to my daughter's place to meet her, for which we have agreed with my ex-wife in a marriage settlement agreement". He testified that he had found the little girl accompanied by her grandfather. When she hugged her daughter, Leka was confronted with insulting and threatening words from Gjergji, who told her that she should change her path when she saw her.
Leka added that the situation became more serious when he told Gjergji that he had to leave the room where he was with his daughter and at these moments, Gjergji approached him, pushed him and kicked him. "My reaction was defensive, but Gjergji continued hitting me and tore my sweatshirt, as well as took a hard object (wooden statue) with which he hit me," he said.
