You may have read around that Ilnisa ??is the granddaughter of Dritëro Agolli, and it has often been said that the journalist has the well-known poet as her uncle. Finally, her brother, in an interview for "Top Albania Radio", showed the real connection between the poet and his family.
Asked by Elona Duro about this much-discussed topic, Kevi Agolli said:
"To cut it short, even though it's a little confused as a story, our parents and Dritëroi are basically cousins, since my paternal grandparents and Dritëroi were two brothers who married two sisters."
It was further followed:
"Ilnisa ??has a closeness to him, not only inherited from the side of literature and pen, but also from the rest, as he is a kind of uncle", adding that Dritëroi and his parents were close and that they are referred to the poet as "uncle". Kevi also stated that Dritëroi considered them as nephews and nieces, specifying that they are second cousins.
So, let's make it clear once and for all, briefly and clearly: Ilnisa ??does not have a biological uncle Dritëroi, but she feels like she does.
