If you feel tired or powerless, because of work or daily commitments, you probably have a hard time understanding the signals that your body or mind gives you. So, some telltale signs that you need more rest, more hours of sleep at night to recharge your "batteries"!

But Jade Thomas, a psychotherapist and founder of a counseling line tells us that there are six different types of rest depending on your personality.

This is the moment for you to discover them too!

Physical rest: Good quality sleep is a part of physical rest, focusing on quality rather than quantity of sleep. But also, activities such as muscle relaxation or yoga can help your body recover from physical fatigue.

Mental rest: On average, a person has approximately 60,000 thoughts a day. Our brain works harder than we think, so it's a good idea to give it some "rest". Practices such as meditation, breathing exercises, and taking short breaks from work during the day can help reduce mental fatigue, increase focus, and increase creativity.

Sensory break: For some people, bright lights, screens and environmental noises can make them feel overwhelmed, so it's important to take a break with their senses. Getting away from screens and electronic devices, closing your eyes, meditating or even taking a walk in nature is a way to restore a calmness to your senses.

Social Vacation: This type of vacation is about engaging in social and supportive relationships. This requires us to examine our relationships to determine which people give us energy and which can take away our energy.

Creative rest: We need to renew our creativity by engaging in the worlds of art, nature and music to fuel inspiration, spark new ideas and for more joy.

Spiritual rest: This type of rest is about finding meaning and purpose beyond daily routines, which can be achieved through meditation, spending time in nature, etc.

When it comes to more introverted individuals, they may find that they need to engage more in social or sensory recreation, as they may find social situations more tiring and their senses may be more easily overwhelmed than someone who identifies as a extrovert.

For extroverted individuals, they need more of a mental break to ensure that they avoid emotional burdens because they are very charismatic and social individuals.
