Many people think that if they eat lunch during work hours, practically in front of the computer and the desk, they save themselves time and thus make their work more manageable within the official schedule.

But isn't there a balance between lifestyle and career? Two experts studied this case to prove whether eating at the work desk is really a ritual that preserves productivity, while also being an acceptable way of eating.

An ezCater report last year surveyed more than five thousand employees in the US, and the results revealed that more than 48% of them skip a real lunch break away from the office and work environment.

The factors influencing this decision of theirs were really different. The report found that 23% of employees did this in order to finish work within official hours, 22% spoke of fearing that they would not have enough time to complete their tasks, and another 20% said they had too many work meetings during work hours. of rest.

Many people pointed to the fact that being too busy to take a proper lunch break was the main reason why they ended up eating at their desk. In fact, experts say that you should give up this habit if you practice it every day, because in the long term, eating in front of your desk and the fact that you don't leave the work environment for a few minutes leads to stress and mental ambiguity.

Despite the fact that employees think that skipping lunch breaks saves time, the reality is that this habit reduces focus and productivity.

Meanwhile, people who take their lunch break to eat a meal or drink a coffee report that they have more mental clarity when they return to the office.  

In today's fast-paced working day, many individuals find themselves working even during lunch, believing that this strategy saves time and almost leads to an earlier wet or on time from the office.

But, another important benefit, whenever you decide to eat lunch outside of work, is the fact that you set goals and a good balance between professional commitments and life.
