10 things you should do during the first month in your new job

You have been entrusted with a new job profile, but like everyone else, you have uncertainty about this journey? Of course, the new job is exciting for many, but along with challenges come difficulties, nervousness, problems with new colleagues and many other unknown situations.

The good news is that there are a few things you can do during your first month at your new job to get you through the ordeal of getting started.

#1 Read about the company and its executives

Before you even set foot in the office, there are a few things you can do to help you get more information about where you're going. Read about the company, its history, values ??and culture, as well as the person who runs the company.

#2 It's okay if you get nervous

Leave room for any anxiety and uncertainty! When you start a new job it's normal to face new emotions and fears, but don't give up. Breathe in through your nose and slowly through your mouth. Sit down and put your feet on the floor and just relax.

#3 Prepare a brief history of yourself

A few more details about your previous experiences, commitments you have had are never too much to show in a new work environment.

#4 Make a good impression

Dress appropriately, be friendly with colleagues. All these are details that show that you are feeling comfortable in your new job and adaptation is a mission that you have already accepted.

#5 Be a "sponge"

Take notes, ask lots of questions, and listen carefully to what people have to say. Don't think you know everything going on in this world, so absorbing as much information as possible is always a good sign in a new job.

#6 Get to know your colleagues

Make short meetings in each department to understand more about the role and the new colleagues with whom you will share the work in the future.

#7 Customize the desktop

Create your own space with work tools, files, computer and everything else you need for the smooth running of your tasks.

#8 Understand your priorities

If no one in the company has expectations of you just starting a new job, create your own priority list and follow your line.

#9 Get to know the manager

The relationship with the manager is important. Make an effort to understand what their strengths and weaknesses are so that you can invest with your commitment and knowledge.

#10 Build trust in others

Fulfilling tasks and expectations is always an indication that work has triumphed over everything, so review progress and successes from time to time to build complete trust in new colleagues and superiors.
