Margot Robbie has finally spoken about the absence of her name on the list of Oscar awards, in the category "Best Actress" for her performance in one of the most talked about films of 2023, "Barbie". Her absence from the Oscar nominations disappointed people and colleagues, but Margot is not too upset.
"There's no way I can be upset when I'm so blessed," she told Deadline, adding that she's very proud of the film and the public's reaction. "It's more than we dreamed of and this is actually the biggest reward", she said.

The name of the director of the film, Greta Gerwig, is also missing from the Oscar nominations, but again "Barbie" is nominated in 8 categories, including "Best Film", "Best Original Song" with "I'm Just Ken"; "Best Actor in a Supporting Role", where Ryan Gosling was nominated, also "Best Actress in a Supporting Role" (America Ferrera, in the role of Gloria).

"Barbie" is currently the highest-grossing film of 2023, taking in a whopping $1.4 billion.
For the lack of Robbie's name in the list of Oscars, Gosling and Ferrera have also reacted, who expressed their disappointment.
"I'm extremely disappointed that they weren't nominated," said Ferrera, who plays Gloria in the film. "Greta has done everything a filmmaker can do and deserves, creating this world and taking something that wasn't intrinsic value to most people to turn it into a global phenomenon. "It's disappointing not to see him on the list," America said.
Ryan Gosling shared the same opinion, saying to the BBC: "There would be no Ken without Barbie and there would be no Barbie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the 2 people who are responsible for the film that made history, internationally."
