Love-hate relationships occur between people who often experience ups and downs in their relationships. We all know that there is no linear development. Especially when it comes to matters of the heart, tension levels, fights, healthy relationships or not, often become the object to build a love-hate relationship,
But how do you understand that you are experiencing such a condition? Here are some typical distinguishing marks!
#1 Break up and “invent” new reasons to reconnect
An inseparable couple is the picture of a love-hate romantic relationship. If something goes wrong, they break up with each other and use that as a threat. In short, they separate and connect whenever they want.
#2 You (or your partner) don't think before you act
Raise your hand if you know someone with strong emotions who can't always manage them. You get angry and immediately think of separation, then you get over your anger and take measures to stay together.
#3 When it's good, it's really good. But when it's bad...
It's really bad. If you catch yourself telling a friend that "when things are good, they're really good" and vice versa, you may be in a love-hate relationship. These people can sometimes struggle to get through the not-so-good moments in a proper and effective way, but still feel unfulfilled.

In all kinds of situations, we act based on how we feel. When we struggle to have lasting relationships, it really all comes down to how we handle emotions, how we perceive certain situations.
#7 You and your partner have complementary (and opposite) traits
Maybe you and your lover are very different. This can be both good and bad. You appreciate things about your partner, but it can really get on your nerves when he/she does things differently.
