New charity legislation: Chiara Ferragni reacts

After the Council of Ministers made the decision for transparency in every charity enterprise and the imposition of strict rules on it, Chiara Ferragni has reacted with a short statement.

"I am very happy that the government solved the legislative deficiency in the country so quickly. What happened to me made me understand how important it is to have rules for charity decisions related to advertising", Ferragni said, among other things.

She emphasized that the declared final invoice will avoid any human or malicious error, but will also remove all suspicions of fraud against those who undertake them.

The law in question provides over 50,000 euros in fines for all those who break the rules of the so-called "ddl Ferragni" food company in the transparency of advertising of products that go to charity.

The Minister of Entrepreneurship, Adolfo Urso, emphasized in a press release that this law will guarantee transparency and ensure that everything is under control.

In December, Chiara Ferragni was put in the center of controversy when some facts appeared in the Italian media about the fraud with the charity campaign between her and the company "Balocco".

As claimed at the beginning of the campaign, the exclusive panettones would be sold in the market at a value of 9 euros (while the normal price is around 5 euros) and from the sale of each dessert, a part of the profit would be donated to the Turin hospital. When the scandal was revealed, the economic and financial crime authorities in Italy discovered that the "Balocco" company had only made a transaction of 50,000 euros in the hospital's account. This happened a month before the cooperation campaign between Chiara and the candy company started.
