Do you realize that there are some people whose nose is always cold? Even if it's warm outside, your nose is always icy. Why does this happen?
Chances are, it's nothing to worry about, but there are times when a cold nose may require you to look away from your body.
1. You just have it from the cold
During cold days, it takes longer for the blood to circulate normally to our hands, feet or nose. The body temperature changes and the blood circulation to cope with the cold is focused on the internal organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, brain, etc. At the same time, the extremities are colder.
2. You may have been overworked or stressed
Numerous studies have concluded that there is a connection between body temperature and the stress that runs through our brain. At the end of the experiment, it was seen that people who were more focused on the tasks they were given had colder noses than others. It may happen that when you are very focused while working, you feel a colder nose than usual, so it is good to take a short break.
3. Hormonal disorder
If you are not producing enough thyroid hormones, the body's metabolism starts and slows down. Having a slower metabolism, the body conserves heat and energy and less heat goes to the extremities, which is why we have a cold nose as a result.
4. Other chronic diseases
If you suffer from high blood sugar or heart problems, your nose is likely to be cold all the time. Of course, a cold nose is only one of the symptoms, so before jumping to conclusions, if you suspect you are suffering from diabetes or blood pressure problems, consult your doctor.
How to get rid of a cold nose?
If you know it's just a cold, keep some warm compresses on, but be careful not to burn yourself. I drink tea to warm up and put on a scarf.
If the cold nose continues for long periods of time (even in summer), causes pain, bothers you or is accompanied by other symptoms, talk to a doctor to get the treatment you need.
