
Thailand/ The first mpox case is confirmed

Thailand announced that the first case of mpox virus has been confirmed. According to the Department of Disease Control, the patient is a 66-year-old man who arrived from Europe in Bangkok, an African country. He immediately started showing symptoms and went to the hospital.
So far, at least 450 people have died from mpox, which broke out in the Democratic Republic of Congo last year. Mpox, also known as monkeypox, can be dangerous and potentially fatal for patients over 60 and with other health complications.
Ukraine/ Zelensky talks about the incursion in Kursk

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, said that the attack on the Kursk region in Russia is justified and that Ukraine is returning the war to where it came from. He stated that apart from this action being right, it is also very effective, adding that to end the war it is necessary to cause problems in the Russian territory.

Sweden/ 20% of brown bears can be killed during the hunting season

About 20% of the brown bears in Sweden's territory can be killed during the hunting season, after the country issued licenses to kill 486 bears. Currently, there are 2,450 brown bears in rural Sweden, a number that has decreased in recent years precisely because of hunting.
Activists and animal rights defenders have expressed their concern, while the government argues that the bears disrupt the ecosystem. By the early 1900s, the bears were almost extinct in Sweden, as such policies were followed, which led to their extinction.
Japan/ 2 people die due to rain

The heavy rains in Tokyo brought the interruption of public transport circulation, as well as numerous floods on the streets. Two women died while inside a vehicle. Among other things, extensive damage was caused by massive flooding and a state of emergency was declared in several cities.
Authorities said many roads were blocked and people were asked to stay indoors until weather conditions calmed down. Meanwhile, everything possible is being done to normalize the situation and restore public transport.
