For Kosovo Albanians, the year 2024 started well, after they were informed that from January 1, 2024, they can travel freely and without visas in the 27 countries of the Schengen area (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland , France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland).
Visa liberalization allows citizens with biometric passports to visit one of 27 countries and stay for 90 days. This is long-awaited news for Kosovo.
It should be noted that visa-free travel is only for tourist purposes or family matters and does not mean a work permit or other benefits.
