Welcome to January 1st! We know, it's unbelievable, but here we are, in 2024, processing the dramas of 2019! From different cultures and traditions come different superstitions, which you most likely followed for New Year's Eve. If you have respected the traditions, according to the superstitions, the following positive things will happen to you:
If you are wearing red underwear - All year you will have success and luck in love, according to the Italian tradition. Moreover, your days will be filled with passion and lust. ;)
If you ate pork - This German tradition brings luck and makes you move forward, without looking back on the past.
You gave a kiss at midnight – The tradition is famous in the US and coincides with a (consensual) kiss on the lips to strengthen luck in romantic relationships.
You ate 12 grapes - This tradition is popular in Spain and as the custom goes, at 23:59 you have to sit under the table and eat 12 grapes for the 12 days of the month. This is done to open the door to goodness and prosperity, driving away "bad spirits".
You walked around the house with an empty suitcase - In Latin America, at 00:00 you can hear a lot of suitcase wheels, especially from people dying to travel. So, as you understood, if you have done this tradition, in 2024 you will visit many countries.
You opened a pomegranate - The pomegranate is the symbol of prosperity and fertility. In Greek culture, opening a pomegranate brings many blessings.
You opened the window - This means that you opened the door to the surprises of the new year and let out the evil, negative energy and uncertainty.
You're wearing a polka dot dress – This Filipino tradition brings in a lot of money, so honestly, you should have done this.
