The timeless icon with adorable style continues to amaze the world even today, almost 26 years after her death.
Thanks to the popular series "The Crown", Diana continues to be talked about, as her legendary style of clothing never goes out of fashion. The latest news in this regard is the sale of one of Diana's iconic dresses, which exceeded sales expectations and thus joins the long list of the most desired garments in her wardrobe.
It's actually a long dress by Moroccan-British designer Jacques Azagury, auctioned by Julien's Auctions, accompanied by the original sketch, for a record price of $1,148,080. The identity of the buyer is unknown, but the dress is known to have been worn twice by Lady Diana.
In fact, she wore it in Florence during a trip to Italy in April 1985 and another time while attending a Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performance in Canada in 1986.
The dress is literally a work of art. Composed of a black velvet bodice with long sleeves and shoulder straps, it is embroidered with metallic thread stars. The bodice is teamed with a glittery purple ballerina skirt with sides and a big ribbon on it.
