Matthew Perry died of "acute effects of ketamine," according to the autopsy report.
The star of "Friends" was found "without signs of life in the swimming pool of his residence" on October 28 and was pronounced dead at the age of 54. The experts concluded that the manner of death was accidental.
Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, was reportedly receiving ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety before his death.
A post-mortem examination concluded that Perry died from the "acute effects of ketamine" while contributing factors included "drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine" - which is used to treat opioid use disorder.
In his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, published in 2022, Perry wrote that he developed an alcohol addiction as a teenager as well as an addiction to painkillers after an accident in 1997.
