Prince William and Kate Middleton posted a family photo as a Christmas and holiday card. All the members of the royal family appeared in almost identical clothes and tones, and of course the body language analysts did not waste time to do their work and "sift" all the elements of the picture as a whole.
Judi James, a body language expert told The Sun: “The strong feeling of a close group of people, i.e. family, comes through choosing a uniform shade, i.e. black. Whereas, the relaxed body language comes across as an emotional element that serves as a bridge between the five members of the royal family,” she says.
As for the outfits, whose style seems similar to those of the 90s, Judi says it could be to do with their desire to show "full strength and confidence for the family, without the festive decorations and trappings of royal status". As she notes: "We all know that they look quite beautiful in their formal and typical royal outings, but in the latest photo, they seem more relatable to the people."
Judi also claims that the tilt of Prince William's head "shows a desire to be liked", while "Kate leans on William's torso to make this a delicately romantic pose".
Princess Charlotte's position right in the middle of the photo may be intentional. "Charlotte looks a lot like the late queen and this central positioning and the baby's cute smile echoes Elizabeth's life when she was young,'' concludes James.
