What has become an annual tradition for the royal family of England could not be missed: the family photo as a beautiful postcard on the eve of the end of the year holidays. Yesterday, the Prince and Princess of Wales released their Christmas card. The photo, taken by photographer Josh Shinner, shows the couple posing with their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
The classic black and white photo is a different version from the usual one that fans and other members of the royal family are used to. In other years, the family portrait photo has been in color and taken somewhere outside in nature, while this year it is the opposite. The photo is black and white and shot in a studio environment.
It seems that all of them have also been coordinated for the style of clothing, in order not to create the typical "noise" in the image, choosing white shirts with collars and buttons. Kate and Charlotte wore jeans, while William, George and Louis preferred dark trousers (Louis in shorts).
William and Kate appear in each other's arms around their sons, while Charlotte is positioned in the center of the photo sitting on a chair.
This year was an important one for William and Kate, as the couple further strengthened their role in the royal family with their respective statuses as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
William's place in the line of succession was highlighted on the day of King Charles' coronation, when he knelt before his father during the occasion's ceremony.
