Why eating breakfast at a certain time helps you lose weight

You can count calories, eat less carbs, follow strict diets and exercise a lot, and still not see the desired results in body weight or other metabolic factors, such as heart health, blood sugar levels, etc.

New research suggests a method of weight loss that allows people to eat the foods they enjoy most while keeping other parameters of fitness and health in check. As a bonus, this approach shows good effects on heart health while also lowering blood pressure.

The researchers analyzed existing data from several past studies involving overweight individuals and the diets they followed. They found that eating at a certain time led to a significant reduction in weight compared to calorie restriction alone.

Researchers looked at the effects of eating breakfast by 11 a.m., which translates to another six to 10 hours without eating until the next meal. In addition, they examined three different dining spaces based on early, late, or unspecified time.

The results revealed that individuals who started eating earlier, before 11 a.m. and consequently finished their last meal earlier, had more weight loss.

The study also shows that eating food early may have a small advantage because, as the researchers explain, hormones that are important for regulating metabolism reach their peak secretion in the morning, so the effect is greater on weight and metabolism.
