The model posed for the French magazine Le Monde and one photo stole everyone's attention. As you can see, EmRata is shown standing entirely on one leg of a pair of jeans. She holds the rest with her hand, as if to emphasize her toned body.
The strange photo looks like old weight loss ads.
"Designers don't create plus-size clothes unless it's for a photo of a thin person wearing them," one wrote. "What the hell is the second picture?" asked another. "The second photo is so uncomfortable and disgusting," read another comment.
"What a strange picture. And you wrote a book about body image!” said another.
In the book "My Body", the model describes body image, beauty standards and the social pressure exerted on women's bodies.
She was labeled a "hypocrite" for the photo above. Emily has not reacted to the criticism.
