Based on Erion Braçe's proposal, here are some countries where days

Erion Braçe, in his speech at the Economy Committee, where the budget for the Ministry of Health was discussed, made a proposal: Girls and women in Albania should be given the right to receive a report during the menstrual cycle, a report that must be paid for by the state budget. He also proposed that the hygiene-sanitary package for cycle days be exempted from value added tax. (Read the full statement here ).

Based on Erion Braçe's proposal, here are some countries where days

Some countries in the world have applied as a law the leave for the days of the menstrual cycle, which for many girls and women is painful, embarrassing and affects the performance at work. It is thought that about a third of menstruating women suffer from severe pain known as dysmenorrhea. Symptoms include acute abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache and fever.

Spain

Spain became the first country in Europe to allow girls and women to take 3 days off a month during their menstrual cycle. In cases where the periods are very painful, the leave can be extended up to 5 days.

Japan

Japan is the country that has accepted "menstruation leave" since 1947. A special law was created in which it is forbidden to ask girls and women suffering from period pains to report to work.

Indonesia

Even Indonesia has applied the "menstruation leave" law, according to which girls and women who experience pain during their period are not obliged to work in the first two days of their period.

South Korea

In South Korea, Article 73 of the labor law provides for monthly "physiological leave" under which all female employees can take one day off per month for their menstrual cycle. In 2021, a superior of the airline "Asiana" was sued in a local court, after refusing to grant the leave requested by the flight attendants. He dismissed the claim of the employees on the grounds that they did not provide proof that they were menstruating, and for this, he was fined $1,790.

Taiwan

According to Article 14 of gender equality in Taiwan's state employment law, female employees have the right to request one day off each month, paid at half of their regular pay. However, if more than 3 such leaves are taken per year, the additional days count as a sick leave.

Vietnam

Vietnam is another country that considers holidays due to the menstrual cycle. In the 2020 reform, "menstrual leave" was increased by 3 days per month (previously it coincided with a 30-minute break). On leave days, girls and women can choose not to take leave and be paid extra.

Zambia

Zambia proposed the concept of "Mother's Day", in which female employees can take one day off a month without giving a reason or submitting a medical report.

scotch

Although it has not yet implemented the "period pass", Scotland in August 2018 became the first country in the world to offer free personal hygiene products to all students in primary schools, secondary schools and universities.
