Actor Timothée Chalamet has irritated people, who are not sparing comments about him on every social network. He, in an appearance for "SNL", made an exaggerated joke about Hamas, in such a situation, where the war has resulted in the killing of thousands of people, among them many children.
In the "SNL" skit, Timothée plays a musician named Frank who is about to jump off a building.
Meanwhile, 3 people, who have a group called "Please Don't Destroy" pass under the building and tell "Frank" not to jump because they will help promote him on social networks.
Then, they change their minds when they find out that Frank's gang is called "Hamas" (like the militant group in Gaza). One of the 3 people says: "Old man, I will not share a song from Hamas on Instagram".

This skit really irritated people, who commented: "Most of the jokes on "SNL" are pathetic and not funny, but this one tops it all. It is a total lack of respect, and it affects the children. Children are being mutilated and you are joking about it"; "Almost 12,000 people have died in 34 days, there's a genocide going on in Palestine by the Zionists, and somehow, 'SNL' and Timothée Chalamet think it's appropriate to make a joke about HAMAS"; "First, suicide is not a joke. Second, a calamity is happening, heartless man”; "How did he agree to do this? Nothing is ok in this video", were some of the comments, while other people accused the actor of not speaking at all about the Hamas-Israel war and now, he mentions it to make a "joke" of the situation.
In Gaza, the number of victims has reached 11,100, of which 8,000 are women and children. The situation is chaotic and for several days there have been calls for a ceasefire. These calls have not been accepted by the Israeli president, Benjamin Netanyahu.
