The title for the "Best Public Library" in the world for this year was given by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions.
It is located in Barcelona and is known as the "Gabriel García Márquez" library. It is located in the Sant Martì district, which may seem more modest when compared to some structures in the world, but it has been voted the most beautiful in the world. Why?

This is the first public building in Barcelona built entirely of wood, to reduce the carbon dioxide footprint, a mission undertaken by the architectural studio itself, which designed it on over 4,000 square meters. There are four floors in total, to which the basement is added.
The separation between indoor and outdoor areas is done so naturally, because the feeling of being in a natural environment throughout the entire library directly affects the stimulation of thought.
The first floor is dedicated to literature for children and teenagers, complete with facilities equipped with games for all ages and a theater for those who have difficulty with cognitive stimulation.
The second floor is related to scientific topics, there are computers that can be used for consultation.

The third floor is dedicated to novels, with a very large section dedicated to Latin American literature in honor of Gabriel García Márquez. Among the volumes, films and discs, here is also the area called El Jardì, where you can sit among the plants, on a hammock or a woven armchair hanging directly from the ceiling.
The fourth and top floor is reserved for non-fiction books, with reading tables, book club rooms and a digital literacy classroom.
