The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have embarked on a tour of Scotland and their days have been packed with royal meetings, cute country outfits, charity gatherings and more. At one of the meetings at a primary school, Kate was somewhat taken aback when a child asked her: "Who are you?".
The answer the duchess gave the child was perhaps not what was expected: "Who am I? I am married to William," she said as she pointed to the prince. "I really like your school. You know? It was great meeting you all," she concluded.
Experts call this case another example of Kate leaving her husband in the spotlight.
"She never tries to put her husband on a pedestal," royal biographer and journalist Penny Junor said recently. They are seen as a much-loved duo in the royal family.
"I think Kate is a bit like Prince Philip who supports the Queen. "She doesn't eclipse William in public roles, but she still has a lot to say herself," the journalist continued.
Another source added that Kate "is the type of woman who will take on whatever she needs to. If she has to go to the extreme of things, she does and always has. She and William are a great team ".
But it is often Prince William who allows Kate to shine, especially when it comes to important events, mostly charity events.
