Britney Spears recounts details of her marriage to ex-husband Sam Asghari in her memoir, The Woman in Me, which was written before their divorce in August.
The pop star refers to Sam as a "gift from God", saying: "I love the fact that he is so stable, that he does not consume alcohol."
Brit reveals that when she first saw him she was very attracted to him. "I knew I needed it in my life immediately. The chemistry between us was crazy at first. We couldn't keep our hands off each other".
The singer also credits her 29-year-old ex-husband for giving her the courage to speak out against 13 years of abuse by that father, revealing that he shook her hand in court to express his support for her.
Brit points out that she relied on Sam and that he had a very good self-care routine, was a good, healthy man and always looked after the singer.
"He is an inspiration and I am grateful for him," writes Britney.
In August of this year, Sam asked for a divorce from the singer. Multiple sources confirmed the breakup to People and TMZ and said the breakup was due to Sam's allegations against Britney Spears, according to which he confronted the singer about a week ago about rumors that she had been unfaithful to him.
Sam reacted through a statement, where he confirmed the separation and said :
"After six years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will keep the love and respect we have for each and I wish her the best always."
"Things happen. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous, so I'm just going to ask that everyone, including the media, be kind," he said.
