For the skin to be nourished and to have that typical softness every time you touch it, a moisturizing cream is #must, say dermatologists. Daily use of a moisturizing face cream is the care you need to guarantee the well-being of the skin.
But did you know that almost everyone makes mistakes in using this cream? To avoid unwanted consequences on the face, here are the five mistakes you should avoid:
1. You don't wash your hands before applying the cream
Hands are a hotbed of germs and bacteria if they are not washed often, especially before putting the cream on your face. If you don't want to use your hands, choose a brush for spreading the cream.
2. Apply a lot of cream
Moisturizing the skin is a necessary step for facial treatment, but exaggerating the amount can have the opposite effect. Be careful not to overdo it.
3. Spread the cream on dry skin
For the cream to have a maximum effect on the skin, the best thing to do is to wet the skin beforehand so that the cream can penetrate better. So when should you put moisturizer on your face? Ideal is after the shower or immediately after applying the serum.
4. Use the same cream in the morning and in the evening
The moisturizer can be applied to the face several times a day. In the morning you need a day cream, while in the evening a more complete product is suggested, to nourish, but also treat wrinkles or the skin as a whole.
5. Don't use moisturizer if you have oily skin
A mistake that is often made when you have oily skin is to avoid moisturizer for fear of making your skin even oilier. Whether you have acne or your skin is very oily, moisturizing should never be avoided.
