Doctors have gathered to give a press conference in the ruins of the hospital that was hit by a terrible attack , where 500 victims, including women and children, were killed, while the death toll is expected to rise.

The Health Ministry, which is run by Hamas, organized the conference, which was broadcast live on Al-Jazeera.
"We decided to operate all day and I made the decision to sleep in the hospital. In the evening, after I had finished an operation, I heard a big explosion. When I went outside, I saw a pile of bodies of children, who were seriously injured... There were body parts and victims everywhere in the corridors", said one of the doctors.
Another person added that he has seen hundreds of victims and injured and that this is the most shocking event he has witnessed in his life.
Palestinian authorities blamed Israel for the surprise attack. On the other hand, Israel categorically denied the attack and blamed a "missile that failed" to be launched on Israeli soil.
Although the Israel Defense Forces have said they do not attack hospitals, the UN and Doctors Without Borders say Israeli airstrikes have hit medical facilities, including hospitals and ambulances.
Hospitals, according to the principles of international humanitarian law , are sacred places and attacks against them are considered war crimes.
