We bet that you wouldn't recognize the famous actress, after the photos that are circulating from the set of the new movie "Maria".
Angelina Jolie has completely transformed in appearance to masterfully interpret the lead role of the legendary soprano, Maria Callas. Critics of the film say that it is a biographical production, where Jolie has the main role. Chilean-born director Pablo Larraín says the film will look at the life of the legendary and controversial soloist, who is often described as "the first diva". Based on true stories, the film "Maria" will tell the turbulent and tragic story of the lyrical singer during the last days of her life in Paris.
Angelina appears in thick-rimmed glasses and a fur suit, and these are just a few images captured on the streets of Paris during filming. "To tell more of Maria's story, and with a script by Steven Knight, is a dream," Jolie said.
Maria Callas was a US-born soprano of two Greek parents who was one of the most popular and influential opera singers of the 20th century. Many critics praised her technique, voice and dramatic performances. She died on September 16, 1977, aged 53, at her home in Paris, after a heart attack.
