Kate Middleton never misses an opportunity to dress up for a variety of causes – and her latest outing was no exception.
On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales appeared with her husband, Prince William, at a youth forum in Birmingham. Tuesday (October 10) was also World Mental Health Day and for the occasion, Kate opted for a mustard yellow jacket, teamed with a simple black top and baggy trousers.
The color of World Mental Health Day is actually green, although the choice of yellow is not accidental, as this color is associated with mental processes and encourages communication and optimism.
Besides the jacket, the other detail that stood out was Kate's minimalist earrings. The star earrings were given to her by Maidenhead rugby club coach Sarah Renton in memory of her daughter Issy. The earrings were made in memory of Issy who sadly committed suicide earlier this year.
In addition to raising awareness of mental health through her clothing choices, Middleton also took time to speak about the importance of continuing to advocate for mental health.
"Today, more people feel ready to talk about their mental health than ever before. This is a huge step forward,” said Kate. As a generation, you value and talk about your mental health more than anyone before you – something we really admire and applaud.”
