The last prize of the Nobel season for this year, that of Economic Sciences, was awarded to Claudia Goldin, professor at "Harvard" University.

She is a specialist in the history of labor and economics, as well as the third woman to receive this award in the entire history of the Nobel Prizes in economic sciences.
The Economic Sciences Prize was established in 1968 by the Central Bank of Sweden and is also known as the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences, in memory of Alfred Nobel.
Claudia Goldin was born on May 14, 1946, has a rich economic background. She is a co-director of NBER's Gender Studies Group in Economics and held the position of head of the NBE program on American Economic Development from 1989 to 2017.
Goldin's research covers a wide range of topics, including the women's workforce, gender, the income gap, income inequality, technological change, education and immigration.
Much of her research interprets the present through the lens of the past and explores the origins of current issues of concern. Her recently completed book Career and Family: Women's Century-Long Journey to Equality (Princeton University Press) was published on October 5, 2021.
