Victoria Beckham has spoken for the first time about the pain she felt following allegations that David had cheated on her.
Victoria tells the new Netflix documentary, "Beckham", that it was the most difficult period of her life and at that time she experienced the most unhappy phase of her life.
In 2003, David moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid, while Victoria remained in the UK with their sons, Brooklyn and Romeo. At the time, two women - Rebecca Loos and Sarah Marbeck - claimed to have had an affair with the footballer.
Shortly after the news began to circulate, Victoria decided to move to Spain to be by David's side.
The Beckhams have always denied cheating claims, but have now spoken candidly about the battle to save their relationship.
"It was the hardest time because it felt like the world was against us," she says in the documentary. "Before Madrid, it felt like us against everyone else, but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn't feel like we had each other. And that is sad. I can't tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.”
Victoria and David eventually overcame the difficulties. About a year after her move to Spain, they welcomed their third son, Cruz, in February 2005. The power couple - who have been married for 24 years - expanded their family again in 2011, becoming parents to daughter Harper.
