The French government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier falls

France's National Assembly ousted the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier on Wednesday evening.
A total of 331 MPs, from the left-wing New People's Front (NFP) coalition and the far-right National Rally Party, voted in favor of the no-confidence motion, out of a total of 577 lawmakers.
The move has plunged the country into a period of political and economic uncertainty, just six months after President Emmanuel Macron dissolved the National Assembly following his party's heavy defeat in the European Parliament elections.
Marine Le Pen, a leading figure in the Rally National party, said she had no other choice, claiming she does not consider the result "a victory."
When asked if Macron should resign, Marine Le Pen said she does not want early presidential elections.
