We all know them for their well-curated royal image, but it turns out that Prince William and Princess Kate had a moment of sweet rebellion in 2010, when they secretly traveled to North Wales to attend a music festival in Bangor. And not for some classic royal concert, but to see Rihanna, Kesha, and Paramore!
This was revealed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, who told Heat Magazine:
“I remember when they appeared at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Bangor. The hosts knew, but the rest of us had no idea, for security reasons. They kept it a secret, but they were on the side stage, watching Rihanna. I loved how down to earth they were.”
And to top it all off, Scott Mills himself has confessed that William often sent messages to his show, but of course without putting his name at the end.
Fun fact: Last year, William took his children George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift in London for his birthday! The family even met Taylor and her boyfriend Travis Kelce backstage. And yes, videos of them dancing went viral.
