Theresia Fischer, who took part in the reality show Big Brother in Germany, told her story to Mdr Jump radio, also revealing the psychological drama, which started with a toxic relationship to end in dysmorphia (mental disorder related to obsessive ideas about different parts of the body).
Ex-partner pressure on the model
During the interview, Theresia spoke in detail about the daily harassment she had to endure from her husband. “Theresia, you know I like tall women. I would very much like you to fulfill this wish and grow 14 centimeters longer," said her ex-husband.
Next, came the psychological conditioning. Her husband's words plunged her into deep thought, making her feel like the only way to make him happy was to undergo an expensive and dangerous operation. "You can't do without me. You need me". These repeated phrases from the ex-partner affected her self-confidence, making her feel helpless and dependent.

From a natural height of 170 centimeters, the model was given a height increase to reach 184 centimeters. Such a drastic change was far from simple: an operation was required that involved the insertion of metal rods in her legs, a type of prosthesis that allowed her to get the extra 14 centimeters she wanted. The operation required time and determination.
"I feel very ashamed that I agreed to have an operation that I should have avoided," she admitted.
A precious and at the same time bitter lesson about the need to love and respect yourself for who you are, without being influenced by the pressures or expectations of others.
