What if we told you that the way you combed your hair is wrong? It may seem like an absurdity in these moments, until Natasha Nasta, a well-known hairdresser of several beauty salons revealed some truths about "Glamour".
Our first instinct is to run the comb from the scalp to the ends of the hair, a technique that can lead to hair loss and breakage.
"When combing, the goal is to avoid putting too much pressure on the scalp," says Nasta. “I always see people start combing from the scalp, a practice that can put unnecessary pressure on knotted hair. Start combing from the middle of the hair to the ends and then move towards the scalp. this technique minimizes hair damage".
Natasha Nasta shares some other hair care methods if you want to avoid hair loss and weakening:
Use a product before combing:
Rough brushing can lead to breakage and hair loss. For best results, apply a serum, hair oil or conditioner before brushing.
Choose the right comb
Use a wide-toothed comb to gently brush your hair, avoiding excessive force and preventing it from falling out.
Comb wet hair carefully
Wet hair is fragile, so towel dry before combing with a wide-toothed comb.
Carefully comb the back of the head
Apply oil to scalp and hair at night and wash off the next day. Leaving the oil on overnight helps soften the hair naturally. Next, run the comb carefully to the back of the head.
