Prince Harry has spoken, again , about members of the royal family, this time claiming that no one was there for him when his mother, Lady Diana, passed away in 1997.
In his Netflix mini-series Heart of Invictus, Harry revealed that he realized something was wrong with him after he returned from military service in Afghanistan and had symptoms of post-traumatic stress. However, he later realized that it was the traumas that he had suppressed since the age of 12, when Princess Diana passed away.
"I didn't have that support structure, that network or that expert advice to identify what was really going on with me," he said.
Harry, 38, revealed that he "suppressed" the trauma of losing his mother at a "young age" and was "never really aware" of his emotions until "it all came out".
It wasn't until years later, when the going got tough, that he decided to seek mental health help.
"Unfortunately, like most of us, the first time you really think about therapy is when you're lying on the floor in the fetal position," he added.
He has previously discussed the alleged lack of compassion and support from the family following Diana's tragic death.
"Those phrases stuck in my mind like arrows on a board," Harry wrote.
