Are you passionate about summer, winter, spring or autumn? Regardless of the season, all girls want to shine in the summer sun or wrapped in a big scarf in the cold winter temperatures. The theory based on the seasons of the year was first circulated in 1980 and was made public by color consultant Carole Jackson.
"It has a bit of a retro vibe to it," says color expert Leatrice Eiseman, CEO of a color company.
"This concept may have become outdated over the years, as people today have a different attitude towards color," says Eiseman: "I think there are people who are very interested in trying anything that helps them achieve the style they want. ". Seasonal color analysis is gaining traction on TikTok, with a generation of young people loving filters and comments to determine the IN shades in makeup or clothing.
Makeup expert Autumn Moultrie suggests taking a "seasonal journey" to determine which colors are "warm" and which are "cool."
There are two theories to prove this: with filters to see what colors to wear and how to do makeup. Or with the jewelry trick to see what suits you best. We stick to the latter:
Try gold jewelry first! If you find that this goes well with your skin tone, eye color and hair color, then this means that you are into warm colors. If you go gold jewelry, then your makeup and clothing should lean towards warm tones.
Now, it's the turn of silver jewelry! If silver accessories suit you, then your makeup and clothing should be in cool shades.
After trying both of these as methods, you can prove to yourself which shades suit you best.
"I think people today are aware that there is a lot of emotion and attractiveness involved in choosing their favorite colors," concludes Eiseman.
