A video where Rita Ora is given a flag of the Serbian state at a performance in Hungary and the singer sings and dances with it has gone viral on social networks, evoking various reactions and criticism.

For this, Rita, in a statement sent to "Klan Kosova", expressed:
“Last night while performing at the SZIN Festival in Hungary, I was given a flag by a young fan. From the lighting directly in my eyes and on the stage, I could not clearly see which country the flag represented. As soon as I left the stage, I realized that it was a Serbian flag, not a Hungarian one."
He further added:
"While I support all my fans, from all countries and cultures, I want to make it very clear that I am a proud Kosovar Albanian, and it was not my intention to disrespect my heritage, or upset my people or my family" , the singer concluded.
The harsh reactions to Rita's performance with the Serbian flag come because of the history filled with conflicts and violence between Serbia and Kosovo. Serbia is responsible for war crimes and inhumane violence against the population of Kosovo and has not yet accepted torture and genocide against Kosovo.
