There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Many men nowadays choose to be "brave" in the eyes of society or women and this makes them more attractive.
Carrie Haslam and Tamara Montrose from Hartpury College in England conducted a study in 2015 involving 146 women between the ages of 18 and 28. 76% said they were looking to get married, while 24% were not. The women were asked questions about attraction and narcissism.
The study found that women were repeatedly attracted to men with bad experiences. This approach may have place in youth when we are all filled with naivety, but the study found that women are more given to these relationships and more attracted to narcissistic behavior.
The study showed that women who wanted to get married were more likely to respond positively to statements with narcissistic traits, such as: "I like men with authority" or "a man who uses manipulation to influence his success at work is attractive".
What is the scientific rationale in this study? The results show that narcissistic men are seen as high status and fun.
"These traits are attractive to women in relationships," the researchers wrote.
